Ozioma Egwuonwu, the founder of World Dream Day, recently received a message from the past that was written to her future self. As this year’s celebration comes to life, she wanted to share her letter from the past as just one of the many seeds we will be planting as we advance towards World Dream Day 2026.

Dear FutureMe,
You whispered to me that I am the one the world has been looking for. You told me to create with intention and full power. You told me to leave nothing out. You told me to go be the one. Be visible.
I saw myself as a leader. Helping young ones and showing the way.
I saw myself well supported.
The world was falling into disarray, but there were rituals we installed.
We actually pulled away from the world and began living life in a subset world. A dome world.
We farmed and created and shifted our habits.
We held accountability circles.
We declared each week who we were committed to being and then we lived the week being that version of ourselves.
Held accountable by the group and ourselves.
We enjoyed ourselves and built a new world as the old world fell away.
The world was not beautiful, but we were.
